Dr. Scott Dunaway, a Harrisonburg family dentist, earned his bachelor’s and doctoral degrees at West Virginia University. Upon graduating from dental school in 1997, Dr. Dunaway remained at WVU Hospital for an additional year to broaden his knowledge and expertise by completing a general practice residency.
Following his residency, Dr. Dunaway worked as an associate at a large practice in Maryland before accepting a position as the pioneer dentist in a new branch of the E.A. Hawse Health Clinic in Mathias, WV. Dr. Dunaway practiced in this area for two years before opening his private practice in the greater Harrisonburg-Rockingham community.
Dr. Dunaway serves as the program director of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Dental Society and is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
When he isn’t busy improving his patients’ smiles, Dr. Dunaway enjoys spending time with his wife, Rita, daughter, Madeleine, and son, Nathan. Dr. Dunaway is also an active member of his local church.
