This advanced system accelerates the production and installation of crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays, often eliminating the need for plastic temporaries. It’s same-day restorative dentistry. Here’s how it works:
Request Appointment1: We take a detailed digital snapshot of the tooth using a specially designed camera
2: CEREC imaging software fashions a virtual 3-D model of the restoration according to the digital pictures
3: Following the exact specifications set forth in the virtual model, our CEREC® milling unit constructs your restoration in about 15 minutes using durable and biocompatible ceramic material
4: Dr. Dunaway or Dr. Johnson then comfortably places the restoration in your mouth, saving as much of the original tooth structure as possible
With CEREC®, there are no plastic temporaries, no harsh metals, no goopy impression trays and no need to be numbed twice. In many cases, we will be able to assess, create and place high-quality restorations in a single appointment, allowing you to conveniently return to your daily routine.
